Photography + Beeswax

I searched for years to find a method that would allow the image to stand alone, not under glass which I find intrusive to the viewer experience. Wax seemed to be the answer. Each fine art photography image is thoroughly soaked in encaustic medium (beeswax and resin), blotted and then coated with multiple layers of cold wax (beeswax, resin and mineral spirits) that form a protectant layer that can be buffed to a luster look. It has the feel of leather. Each piece is then be attached to a wood panel and framed. Requires little upkeep. If you like the look of glassless photography this is for you.
